Playfair Display ist ein Schalterdesign. Am Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts, seit der Aufklärung, wurden die breitköpfigen Federn durch scharfe Stahlfedern ersetzt. Diese Schreibweise beeinflusste die Buchstabenformen so, dass sie abbrachen. Entwicklungen in der Drucktechnologie, der Tinten- und Papierherstellung haben es ermöglicht, Buchstabenformen mit hohem Kontrast und feinen Haarlinien zu drucken.

Dieser Entwurf, obwohl es diese Periode spezifische und besonderes Design wiederbelebt hat, schrieb William Martin „Boydell Shakespeare“ (sic) von dem Schriftsteller Schriftsteller und Skriptguß Designer John Baskerville Design für den Druck beeinflusst wird; Und von nun an die 'Scotch Roman' Designs.

Wie der Name schon sagt, ist Playfair Display font sehr gut für Bildschirmunterschriften und Titel geeignet. Sehr groß x Höhe und kurz fixiert. Wenn beispielsweise das Feld für Überschriften oder Überschriften in einem Stileffekt eng ist, kann es ohne einen Vorspann gesetzt werden. Die Großbuchstaben sind extra kurz und nur schwerer als die Kleinbuchstaben. Dies hilft, eine glattere Zauberfarbe zu erreichen, wenn richtige Namen und Anfänge eingestellt sind. Beispielsweise verwenden Sprachen diesen geringen Kontrast zwischen Groß- und Großbuchstaben, wie zB Großbuchstaben. Es wird empfohlen, mehr Führer in deutschen und anderen europäischen Sprachen zu verwenden, die viele Akzentzeichen verwenden.

Ein stilistisches Übergangsdesign kann Playfair in Georgien begleiten, wo es für den Text Georgiens verwendet wird.

Die heruntergeladenen Schriftdateien von Playfair enthalten einen vollständigen Satz von Kleinbuchstaben, gemeinsamen Buchstaben und optionalen Buchstaben. Für Polnisch gibt es alternative Akzentzeichen, die mit "Kreska" entworfen wurden. Alle europäischen Sprachen, die das lateinische Schriftsystem verwenden, werden unterstützt. Ein Satz von acht Pfeilen ist ebenfalls enthalten.
